Walk the alpacas
Would you like to walk the alpacas through the beautiful village of Sanzay? Or perhaps you’re looking for something to do for 90 minutes near Saumur? It’s a wonderful experience with charming chemins alongside the fields, calming affects of spending time with the animals and beautiful sites including the magnificent 13th century Chateau de Sanzay.
Is walking an alpaca something you’ve wanted to try, or perhaps an activity you’d love to discover and share with your friends? It is a great day trip for an unusual experience near Angers.
It’s a beautiful way to start the day, bonding with your alpaca companion, it’s hard not to find a favourite whilst you have this unique countryside experience near Nantes.
You can walk one person to one alpaca (ages 10+), and reserve up to 6 alpacas for a maximum of 10 people.
“We had a wonderful time at the farm with Sophie, Will, and their lovely alpaca ladies. Sophie thoroughly explained the rules and how best to approach the alpacas so they felt calm and allowed us to stay around them. We fed them and walked them and Sophie and Will were very knowledgeable and calming (I was a bit freaked out at first as I’ve never been around alpacas). By the end, I was calm and feeding them treats out of my hand. All thanks to Sophie and Will! They were also very accommodating to us when we had a bit of a travel mishap at the start. Their alpaca ladies are gentle, calm, and friendly. Highly recommended, we had a fantastic day!”
Why not add on the daily feed after your walk?
Our feeding experience is your chance to spend quality time with our herd.
You will spend some time sitting with them in their shelter. It is during this time that they are usually more affectionate and curious with our visitors.
Price - €25 per alpaca, additional €10 per extra person, minimum 2 alpacas per walk for ages 10+
