You’re staying on our alpaca farm! Of course each booking comes with a bag of alpaca food, for you to get some extra alpaca time out-of-hours over the fence.

Glamping at La Petite Ferme d’Alpagas Sanzay

Our enormous 7 meter bell tent sleeps up to 6 people and we can reconfigure it for any number of guests between 2 and 6, so it’s perfect for a family or a romantic getaway for a couple. The tent is fully equipped with all comforts of your home, whilst camping at an alpaca farm.

One bedroom rustic French holiday cottage, sleeps up to 4 people with a comfy double bedroom and a sofa bed in the main living area. Have your morning coffee outside with a view of the pretty Chateau de Sanzay directly opposite the gite.

Parc Oriental de Maulévrier

A 25 minute drive from us, the Parc Oriental de Maulévrier is the largest Japanese gardens in Europe. It’s stunningly beautiful and set behind a beautiful chateau. Plenty of shade in the summer and don’t miss the cherry blossoms in spring! We took this photo when visiting in September 2021

Bioparc de Doué-la-Fontaine

30 minutes from the farm in Anjou, sits possibly the best zoo we’ve ever been to; more than 1,500 animals have found an exceptional natural setting at the Biopark, dedicated to the protection of endangered species. Carved into the rock, our tunnels will take you from one world to another. The best part of your visit? We would say hand feeding the giraffes fresh bamboo - an unforgettable experience for us.

Don’t just take our top picks; for a variety of ideas to create your perfect holiday, take a look at what the department has to offer our tourists in the incredible department that is Deux-Sevres. Including water sports, bike routes and places to explore.

Parthenay

A charming medieval town with plenty to see and tons of bars and restaurants to choose from, it’s one not to be missed when you’re here. It’s about a 40-45 minute drive from our alpaca farm. See it from our eyes in the video here.

Puy du Fou

Will and I have yet to visit this amazing theme park, but many of our guests have booked our accommodation when staying and told us it’s brilliant! Only 45 minutes from us, this is a must see and fun for all the family - you can see 100 years of history in one day, or take two days there if you want to see all of the shows and fireworks in all their glory!

Vineyards and cremant houses

There are so many incredible vineyards and cremant de loire houses that you can find around 20-50 minutes drive from us. We can help guide you as to which one to choose, and some of our favourites are Domaine de la Gachère , Domaine de l'Enchantoir and Maison Ackerman

Futuroscope

Futuroscope, the popular theme park based on multimedia, cinematographic and audio-visual techniques. It has several 3D cinemas and a few 4D cinemas along with other attractions and shows, some of which are the only examples in the world. A great day out for the family, 1 hour 15 minutes from us.

Parc de la Vallée

Family-friendly park with mini and bigger rides suitable for many, including a Ferris wheel & a pirate ship and more. Our nephews aged 7 and 9 loved their day here, a great place to use up all of their energy, and the best their mum said? No queues! Only a 16 minute drive from our farm, it’s a great day for little and big kids.

PKS Loisirs - Circuit de Karting du Val d'Argenton

We’re lucky enough to have a professional racing circuit here in Argentonnay, right on our doorstep, where F1 legends such as Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, Fernando Alonso, Robert Kubica and Kimi Raikkonen have all driven. And now, you have a chance to take your family there and race each other for the glory!

Pescalis

For the keen angler, or for a great day outdoors for some fresh air, we have this this international Nature and Fishing Centre, only half an hour away from the farm. With the largest freshwater aquarium in the region, check out their website for the perfect activities for anglers. * Also withFarmers' market on Sunday mornings from late June to early September.

Golf du Bocage Bressuirais

A large swing from the farm (15 minute drive) the 18-hole Grand Puchaud offers golfers a technical and physical course in the heart of the Bressuirais countryside between the granite valleys and the Dolo.

Less than 1km from the historic center of the city of Bressuire, it offers a play area with natural landscapes for those who are friends and family of the golfers too!

Magnificant châteaux to visit

There are so many magnificent castles in the Deux-Sevres and the Loire, it feels like there’s a chateau on every corner! Discover these wonderful buildings and the history that comes with them from 1 minute walk from the farm, there is Chateau de Sanzay, 10 minutes away is Château de Bressuire, with art installations there is Château d'Oiron , looking like a Disney castle is Chateau de Saumur, about 40 minutes drive from us. There are so many more too if you want to do a tour.

L'Atelier D'Acryle

This incredible forge is the activity of dreams! Elie and Carole deliver blacksmith workshops for you to make your own one-of-a-kind knife. We’ve been there and done this ourselves and cannot recommend it more. Make sure you plan ahead and secure your booking at this popular forge well in advance! Local french markets

We think there is nothing better than a local market where you can pick up fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, meat, charcuteries, pastas, chocolates, honey, pastries, bread and so much more! Our favourite local markets are; Bressuire on Tuesdays and Saturdays, Thouars on Tuesdays and Fridays, Saumur on Saturdays and Parthenay on Wednesdays. Don’t forget the local delicacies are goats cheese and Le tourteau fromager

Terra Botanica

In Angers, Terra Botanica reveals the secrets and history of plants. Between playful adventures and botanical discoveries, young and old alike will find their place in Europe's first plant park. Discover this plant adventure a little over an hour away from our farm. It’s not one we’ve visited yet but we’ll keep you posted when we do!
